Covid Details for Sunday Service

The service begins at 10:30am.  The live stream will also begin at 10:30am but you can log in at any time after 10:30am and view the service from the beginning.  No other ministries will gather on campus including childcare.

The health and safety of our church attendees is our top priority.  This is a challenging time for your church leaders so we appreciate your prayers for wisdom and patience with us as we seek to lead wisely in these circumstances.  While each of us on the leadership team has a variety of opinions in regard to the “how” of our gathering, we are all in agreement in our desire to meet together as a church family! The service will feel different in many ways, but it will be a blessing to be together.

If you are at-risk, if you have any symptoms of COVID-19, if you have been in contact in the last 14 days with anyone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, if you care for elderly parents or if you are uncomfortable gathering at this time, we strongly encourage you to continue to worship at home by watching our live stream.

Below you will find a description of what our Sunday experience will look like including some of the steps we are taking to ensure health and safety as we meet together.  Most items are subject to change from week to week so please be sure to check your email on a regular basis.

  1. All touch points will be cleaned before our services. Sanctuary doors will remain open so handles do not need to be touched.

  2. Cleaning/sanitation stations will be available outside and inside the building and will be stocked with hand sanitizer and wipes.  Bring a bottle of water if needed since the water fountains will not be in use.

  3. Masks are required for our service pursuant with Governor Murphy’s latest directive.  We encourage everyone to bring their own masks; however, if you need a mask, these will be available at the front door.  We recognize that many would prefer not to wear a mask, but we believe that we should be compliant with the CDC recommendations and the governor’s orders in this regard.

  4. Seating in the sanctuary will be limited to 100 as per the governor’s current orders for inside meetings.  In accordance with the 6-foot social distancing requirements, seating will be properly spaced with groupings for couples, families, and individuals.  Extra seats will be set up in the foyer for overflow, and the doors will remain open during the service.  These couples or families are to remain together while in the building.  The service will be broadcast into the foyer audibly (and soon visually).

  5. We will not be able to provide childcare during the service until further notice.  However, the mom’s nursing room will be open, and tv broadcast will be available.  Parents with children are welcome in the sanctuary.  We understand that children may be a bit noisy at times.  If they pose a distraction, we would encourage you to watch them in the foyer or the mom’s nursing room.

  6. Since singing with a mask will be challenging, our worship in song by the worship team will be abbreviated and reflective in nature.  Those on the platform will maintain social distancing and are not required to wear a mask.

You are encouraged to “social distance” when you are in the church building or socialize outside after our worship service.

Church representatives will be available to answer any questions at the front door.

If you have any questions please contact one of the Pastors or Elders.

Blessings,
The Elder Team
